G4 2017 - Phil Collen shredding on guitar
Переглядів 3,3 тис.6 років тому
Right before Phil (from Def Leppard) started his master class on Wednesday, he spent a little time shredding. I made a recording of it, enjoy! If you listen carefully, you can hear his strings taking a beating. That's because he plays with a metal pick, and if you listen carefully you can hear it! During the class he says in concert he has to have the strings on his guitars replaced every other...

Paul Gilbert discusses and performs part of "What's New Pussycat" by Tom Jones. Yeah, it's about what you expect, and just as awesome.

Private Concert - G4 2017 Joe Satriani, Phil Collen, Paul Gilbert playing "Superstition"

Joe, Paul and Phil playing Stevie Wonder's "Superstitious" at a private concert for the G4 Experience 2017. They start with the song and then slide into a long stretch of shredding and improvisation. It was amazing to get to watch these legends just relax and show off a little. Keep your ears open for when Paul plays a bit of Van Halen and Joe responds with some AC/DC!

Legend says that Satriani watched the Solar Eclipse with those sunglasses as well.
Mangini behind Joe and Stu would be awesome. 🤘🏼
you think your badass? you think your a shredgod... greatest guitarist of all time? the next dimebag or randy? you try playing one note... for 13 minutes non-stop in perfect time
two opposites... one of the greatest, most expressive and joyfull guitarists of all time... and on the other hand Joe Satriani edit: wtf... a bassist doesnt know JBG?!!?
Save Soil
Two things, First, the bass player stands and chills, and then BANG, he lifts the whole thing , I love it. Second, the little girl at the front looks like one of my grand daughters.
Tommy Emmanuel,,One of a Kind....Guitar Legend...
Yuk!
We be JAMMIN!!!!!!!!!

R.I.P. Joe. Thanks for the music.
Why are all of his guitars beat up?~?..:)
Exercices de styles ❤️👍
Exercices de styles ..,❤️👍☺️
C'est un bon amusement ❤️👍
L'ampli de Joe Satriani a une grande présence malgré qu'il soit sur Reverb ❤️💥👍
So badass, can't believe I haven't seen this. Phil Collen too!
Nasty stuff from Satch my God. Not that I'm that surprised but he's put his hours in with the blues. I heard him years and years ago improvising blues and it was what you'd expect from a guitar God shredder-fusion-master, but this is totally refined and laid back. The guy's a freak.
4:52 I believe Tommy with an electric is the best in the world fa sure aswell a we all know he is on acoustic but this is a whole nother monster
pourquoi vous mettez des vidéos avec un son POURRI???
¡Por qué abuchean al bajista y al baterista? ¡qué manga de irrespetuosos! Aprendan a tocar un instrumento ignorantes
Joe is such a beginner player. He could not even follow a basic country rif
Tommy brings joy to Any audience. He’s so positive and a beast on the 6 string
What the hell is Phil doing there🤦🏻🤣🥱
love the triple call and reply section
Tommy is very funny
horror
This is great, Satriani is having fun. Excellent.
Total idiot mixing audio for video -- maybe forgot to bring up the Telecaster?? Could hear Joe just fine, but no Tommy. Very amateurish.
Tommy: This electric guitar stuffs is soooo easy. I’ll just played with few strings instead. 😂
The musicians are great. Blues are crushingly boring after the age of 17. Crushingly.
First time seeing Tommy on electric. Fretboard madness! Tommy & Jack Pearson is an awesome video to see.
Really!!! ... A commercial right in the middle of the song?? Probably why you don't have many subscribers. I'll watch this on a different channel...
I'm dating my self, but I was fortunate to see the Jeff Beck Group twice, in 1968, at the Shrine Auditorium in LA. Jeff and the band were rocking the blues w/ Rod Stewart, and Ron Woods on bass. Great show with festival seating, and I was about 20 feet from the stage. I heard a much better version of the Bolero that night. On the same bill were The Moody Blues, Ten Years After, and Mint Tattoo, an SF band who later formed Blue Cheer (Summertime Blues). To illustrate a cost perspective, 55 years ago I paid $3.50 to see those bands perform 2 sets, music from 8 PM-2 AM. Talk about getting bang for your buck! A few years later, I saw John McLaughlin and the Mahavishnu Orchestra at the Roxy, Nov. of 1973. Seminal fusion. Mind blowing. Ear shattering. As long as I'm namedropping, I saw the Jimi Hendrix Experience at the Inglewood Forum, April 1969. Ground-breaking, and unbelievable. Blues, psychedelic rock and fusion were really starting to change the perspective on what the electric guitar could be. And new gods have emerged...and in many cases, have passed on. Damn, it came and went by so quickly. My advice: don't get old! Lately, I've been looping in my head the Who's "My Generation", and the lines, "Things they do look awful cold. Hope I die before I get old.", keep haunting me! Peace be upon the planet.
Not the worst version I've heard, but they make the same basic error everybody else makes. There's no excuse for it. The tempo is too damn fast!
As soon as the band started playing they drowned out Tommy. He needed to amp up!
Joe's guitar turned up the loudest of course lol
To me Paul is the man: great tone, but mostly free flow of creative ideas that escape the pentatonic scale. More then once he won this battle… but then again, music is not about winning. I just admire Paul’s musical soul.
I remember the first time I saw Tommy play live, it was at a music exhibition/guitar show at the RNA show grounds in Brisbane in the late 80's. I had only just started playing and fell in love with the then new Ibanez jem 777 which was on display at the Ibanez stand. My Dad was with me and he said let's go and see Tommy play at one of the stages. I had never even heard of him before but my dad was a fan. I knew we were about to be blown away when he come on the stage and introduces himself and then says " For those who haven't seen me play before, don't worry I won't break the guitar!" He definitely didn't disappoint.
Paul’s back there watching Phil thinking I did that when I was 12.
Joe is legend, paul is guitars God , phil is shred 😊
Let's rock 🎸 and roll
